This restaurant is in La Paz, directly opposite the Botanical Gardens. It has a huge outside terrace and although there are tables inside, they aren’t set, and nobody appeared to want to sit inside to eat or were even invited inside to eat.
When we arrived early evening, including our table, there were eight tables occupied. We waited about 10 minutes for menus to be bought to us. To be fair to the waiting staff, there were only two of them. It looked as if they were having to make the drinks as well as deliver them to the tables and take orders. Whoever the owner is of this restaurant, you need to look at your staffing levels!! There quite clearly aren’t enough and those working there were doing their best. We waited a further 15 minutes or so for our order to be taken.
I ordered the beef stroganoff which came with rice, and I have to say, it was very nice. The portion was large, the food was hot, and the beef was tender. I enjoyed my meal.
My other half ordered a pork fillet which came with chips and vegetables. He was not so impressed. The food was hot, and the portion size was good however the meat was tough, and the vegetables were undercooked. We did contemplate sending it back but decided that as the waiting time to get served had already been rather long, we felt that his meal would get stuck in a queue and not be replaced until long after I had finished mine.
For the two of us, with a bottle of wine our total bill was 55 euros.
A good choice of restaurant for wheelchair accessibility. Poor standard of service let it down – and I don’t blame the waiting staff, they were doing their best.
