About Spartan Race Tenerife
Spartan Race is an obstacle-course racing series in which competitors combine running with a sequence of physical obstacles. The Tenerife weekend returns to Puerto de la Cruz as the final Spanish Spartan Race event of the 2026 season.
The Puerto de la Cruz weekend is a Trifecta Weekend. Racers who take on the Sprint, Super and Beast can complete all three core Spartan distances across the same weekend.
The 2026 event page describes a course environment combining volcanic mountains, coastal trails and island scenery. Puerto de la Cruz has hosted the event repeatedly in previous years, with the race using the town and surrounding terrain as part of the challenge.
Spartan Tenerife 2026 Weekend Schedule

Sprint 5K – 20 obstacles
A second day of Sprint heats is available on Sunday.
Spartan sells different heats and entry types, and availability can change as places fill. Check the official registration page for the start window attached to your chosen ticket rather than relying on an old timetable.
Which Spartan Race Is Which?
The Tenerife weekend offers several levels of obstacle-course challenge:
- Sprint: 5 km with 20 obstacles. This is the shortest of the three main Spartan formats in Puerto de la Cruz and is offered on both days.
- Super: 10 km with 25 obstacles. The 2026 Tenerife Super is scheduled for Sunday 29 November.
- Beast: 21 km with 30 obstacles. The longest main distance of the weekend takes place on Saturday 28 November.
- Kids Race: shorter 1–3 km obstacle races for younger participants, scheduled for Saturday.
Competitors aiming for a weekend Trifecta complete the Sprint, Super and Beast during the same event weekend.
Where Does Spartan Race Tenerife 2026 Start?
The official Spartan listing gives the event location as Spartan Tenerife, Parking El Muelle, Calle Mequinez, 2D, Puerto de la Cruz.
Parking El Muelle is beside the harbour and old town, making the race village easy to reach on foot from much of central Puerto de la Cruz. The competition itself extends beyond the event base, with Spartan describing the Tenerife course as a combination of coastal trails, volcanic terrain and natural landscapes.
Address: Parking El Muelle, Calle Mequinez, 2D, Puerto de la Cruz, Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
The complete 2026 route map and any municipal road or access restrictions should be checked again closer to race weekend. Previous editions are useful background, but we will not assume that an earlier course or closure plan applies unchanged in 2026.
Registration, Prices and Race-Day Information
Registration is open through the official Spartan Race website. When checked on 29 September 2026, the organiser was displaying starting prices of approximately €132.19 for Sprint, €187.17 for Super, €264.13 for Beast and €33.24 for Kids Race.
These are dynamic starting prices rather than fixed prices for every heat. Availability, entry type and price can change as the event approaches, so use the official booking page for the current amount before purchasing.
The official event page also provides race-day sections for arrival and heat times, the athlete guide, transfer and deferral options, course information and what competitors need to bring. Check those organiser instructions before race weekend, particularly if your selected heat or registration type changes.
Local Tips for Spartan Weekend
If you are staying in the old town, around Plaza del Charco or close to the harbour, walking to the race base is usually the simplest option. Parking El Muelle is itself being used as the official event location, so do not assume normal parking will be available there during race weekend.
If you are arriving from elsewhere on the island, allow extra time and check for temporary traffic or access information before setting out. Large sporting events can affect roads and parking around central Puerto de la Cruz even when the full restriction plan has not yet been published.
For competitors, remember that this is not simply a road race. Spartan describes the Tenerife course as using volcanic and coastal terrain as well as obstacles, so follow the organiser's equipment and clothing guidance rather than planning from the distance alone.

Official Spartan Tenerife Information
The official Spartan Race page confirms the 28–29 November 2026 dates, the Parking El Muelle event base and the Sprint, Super, Beast and Kids formats. Puerto de la Cruz's updated 2026 events calendar independently lists the same weekend.
Race prices and heat availability are live booking information and may change. The official Spartan page should therefore be treated as the controlling source for registration, start windows and final athlete instructions.
