Puerto de la Cruz celebrates its III Semana del Turismo from 24 to 27 September 2026, with four days of activities leading up to World Tourism Day on Sunday 27 September.
The programme combines a tourism fair at Centro Comercial Martiánez with local crafts, gastronomy, children's activities, live music, talks, sustainability projects and opportunities to discover more about Puerto de la Cruz.

The four-day programme concludes on Sunday evening with a tribute to people who have contributed to tourism in Puerto de la Cruz followed by a free concert by Los Sabandeños.

Tourism fair at Centro Comercial Martiánez
The main exhibition fair runs from 24 to 27 September from 10:00 to 20:00 at Centro Comercial Martiánez.
The formal opening takes place at 11:00 on Thursday 24 September.

16:00 – Free City Sightseeing tour
The first of the four free sightseeing-bus routes leaves from Stop 1 on Avenida Familia de Betancourt y Molina.
19:00 – César Manrique and his legacy
At the Sala Isla del Lago in Costa Martiánez, Professor Dr Francisco Galante presents a documentary film and literary work dedicated to César Manrique.
The presentation is followed by a talk and discussion examining the legacy of one of the Canary Islands' most influential artists and creators.
Friday 25 September
Friday continues the Tourism Fair at Centro Comercial Martiánez from 10:00 to 20:00.

Saturday 26 September
The Saturday programme continues at Centro Comercial Martiánez, with the Tourism Fair open from 10:00 to 20:00.
Activities announced for Saturday include:
- A traditional folk music performance

- A talk and debate entitled “More tourists or better tourism? The future of our destinations”
16:00 – Free City Sightseeing tour
The free sightseeing route also operates on Saturday afternoon.
Sunday 27 September – World Tourism Day
The final day of the III Semana del Turismo coincides with World Tourism Day.
The daytime fair at Centro Comercial Martiánez includes:

The Tourism Fair remains open from 10:00 to 20:00, while the final free City Sightseeing route departs at 16:00.

At 19:00 on Friday, RoutingTales presents a gamified route through Puerto de la Cruz.
Participants explore important places around the town and learn about its history through a storyline inspired by Agatha Christie.
Agatha Christie stayed in Puerto de la Cruz in 1927, and her connection with the town remains an important part of its cultural and literary history.
World Tourism Day in Puerto de la Cruz
The III Semana del Turismo reaches its conclusion on Sunday 27 September, World Tourism Day.
At 20:00 at the Complejo Turístico Costa Martiánez, Puerto de la Cruz will recognise people and groups associated with the development and history of tourism in the town.
The 2026 recognitions are scheduled for:
