Bar Punta Brava Review

As the name suggests, this restaurant is in Punta Brava almost opposite the Loro Parque, with both indoor and outdoor seating areas. Closed on Sundays and Mondays, generally opening around midday and closing at around 11pm.

We sat inside as we went for an evening meal. The place is lovely inside, with high beamed ceilings and old photos of the area hanging on the walls. The tables invitingly set up. The kitchen is open so you can see how your food is being prepared and cooked.

What was a very nice touch is that on arrival you get a small glass of complimentary Cava whilst you study the menu! After you have ordered they also bring you a small complimentary hor d'oeuvres which this time round was a spoonful of garbanzos (chickpeas).

We have used this restaurant in the past and were a little disappointed to see that the menu was not as extensive as it used to be! In the past, my partner has had a mixed kebab (meat and chicken) but the choice this time was either meat or chicken and when we asked if we could have a mixed kebab we were told it was not possible – which was slightly disappointing.

Anyhow, he opted for a chicken kebab which was large, and the chicken was very tender and the chips were homemade! Served with a salad garnish.

I had salmon from the grill, which was a generous size portion served with a salad garnish and papas arrugadas.

For dessert we shared a strawberry mousse which was also very nice.
