The Monopol Hotel is a beautiful old Canarian hotel that has got lots of character and charm.
Situated in the centre of Puerto overlooking the the church and beautiful gardens. It's in a perfect location close to bars, restaurants,shops and the sea.
I have been visiting this hotel for many years and love it.
I always request a room overlooking the church square as it's great sitting on the balcony people watching and I love to hear the sound of the clock chimes.
(They stop at 11pm and restart at 7am) If this is not for you they have rooms at the back overlooking the sea.
As a solo traveler I feel comfortable and safe in this charming hotel, staff are friendly and always happy to help.
Puerto is a safe and beautiful town to visit and your always made to feel welcome.
