This is in a lovely spot in front to the Lago de Martíanez with a spacious terrace which catches the sun for most of the day as well as being a great spot to watch the sunsetting at the end of the day.
Another restaurant in the ever-growing Grupo El Padriño chain of resturants, (the others being El Padriño in the old part of town, El Padriño San Amora in La Paz and just off Plaza del Charco, Restaurant El Pescador) this place is currently undergoing some refurbishment work which does not detract from the enjoyment of eating here! The bathrooms are being refurbished and a large new kitchen is being installed. The current kitchen is still being used, and although serviceable I would imagine it needs updating. I should think there would be plans probably to extend the inside eating area at some point too in the future once the new kitchen is up and running.
We always find the service here very friendly and welcoming. We were lucky with our timing as we were able to get a seat without having to wait, but by the time we had finished our meal all the tables were occupied, and people were having to wait to be seated.
The menu includes mixed tapas, and the usual range of fish and meat dishes, as well as pasta, pizzas and hamburgers! I have enclosed the QR for the menu, so that you can take a look for yourself!
I choose the pork fillets in mushroom sauce, which comes with mixed sauteed potatoes and onions, accompanied by fresh mixed vegetables. Large generous size portion with the pork being well cooked and very tender.
My partner had an angus steak hamburger which came with chips (not homemade), but the burger was thick and cooked just as he liked it!
With a bottle of wine our meal for two cost 49 euros.
Good choice for wheelchair accessibility too.
