Puerto de la Cruz has awarded a €278,332.56 contract for 184 solar panels above parking spaces at the Casco-Botánico health centre. The canopy will provide shade while generating electricity for municipal facilities.
Shade and solar power
Announced by the Town Hall on 27 October 2026, the first phase will supply municipal facilities, including the car park and associated premises. The metal canopy is intended to protect parked vehicles from direct sunlight.
When will work happen?
The contractor is Dobons Technology S.L. The eight-month work period begins the day after the formal site-start record is signed. The announcement gives no calendar start or completion date.
