Teófilo Galán Ulla’s life and artistic work come to Castillo San Felipe in Puerto de la Cruz from Monday 26 to Saturday 31 October 2026. Visit the coastal castle to discover an artist whose paintings draw on Tenerife’s light, landscapes and everyday life. The exhibition opens twice daily from Monday to Friday, with a shorter Saturday morning session.

About Teófilo Galán Ulla
Born in Madrid, Galán Ulla studied art in several European cities before making Tenerife his home. The island’s shifting light and quieter moments became central to his painting. His work includes landscapes and scenes of ordinary life, with a particular eye for atmosphere and the people within it.
This exhibition brings that story to Puerto de la Cruz through his life and artistic work. It is an inviting stop for anyone curious about the island as seen by an artist who spent decades observing it.
When Can You Visit?
The exhibition runs for six days, 26–31 October. From Monday to Friday, it opens 10:00–13:30 and again 16:00–20:00. On Saturday 31 October, it is open 10:00–14:00.
For a relaxed visit, choose a morning or afternoon session that suits your day in Puerto de la Cruz. Remember the weekday break between 13:30 and 16:00.
Finding Castillo San Felipe
The exhibition is inside Castillo San Felipe, Paseo Luis Lavaggi 12, 38400 Puerto de la Cruz. The old stone fort stands beside the Playa Jardín end of the seafront, an easy place to recognise as you walk west from the town centre.

Castillo San Felipe sits beside Playa Jardín, so you can combine the exhibition with a stroll along the coast. If you are coming from the old town, walking there lets you enjoy the harbour side of Puerto before reaching the castle.
