Everyone enjoys a bit of retail therapy!  Let’s look at where you can shop, when and what you can buy!

 

CENTRO COMERCIAL MARTIÁNEZ

With around 50 stores, this is a popular shopping destination, open every day of the year from 10.00 until 22.00.

Current stores include Stradivarius, Lefties, Springfield, Encuentro, Intersport, Punta Roma, Alehop, Encuentro, RKS, Timberland and Deichmann.

Mercadona supermarket is open Monday to Saturday and on Sunday DURING SUMMER MONTHS until 15.00.

Eating places include Burger King, Kiwi Wiki, Pastelería Díaz and Mr Noodles.

The car parking here is not free but is open 24 hours a day.   Other facilities include ATM machine, restrooms, electric charging points for cars, free Wi-Fi and also pet friendly.

MERCADO MUNICIPAL

The Market is open every Wednesday and Saturday with a great array of fruit and vegetable stalls, local goods, fish, meat and cheese stalls and bars serving tapas and drinks.   Open from early morning until around 2pm.

Car parking here is limited and not free.

On the days that the market is not in operation, the building is open until 9pm, with the bars, restaurants and shops (including Altesa supmarket) all open until that time.

CENTRO COMERCIAL LA VILLA

Located outside of Puerto, easily reached by local bus or by taxi (cost around 7 or 8 euros each way). Check local bus times here.

Open Monday to Saturday from 10.00 am until 22.00 – with all shops following this timetable.

On Sundays, the opening time is midday until 23.00 – with the shops being closed but the restaurants, bars and cinemas being opening.

There is free parking here, with electric car charging points, free restrooms, ATM machine, car valeting service and tyre changing service too

At the time of writing, shops included  Bershka, Guess, Encuentro, Pull and Bear, Punto Roma, Zara, Women’s Secrets, Stradivarius, Massimo Dutti, Claires and Foot Locker and of course, the large supermarket Al Campo.

A large multi screen cinema is also part of this large complex.

Eateries include McDonalds, Burger King, KFC among many others

CENTRO COMERCIAL EL TROMPO

An outside area right next door to the Centro Comercial La Villa, boasting some 54 shops as well as an outside play area for children.

Open every day from 10.00 until 22.00 – although shops will be closed on Sunday.

Free car parking, free wi-fi, restrooms and dog friendly.

At time of writing, shops include China Town, Intersport, Kiabi, Conforma, El 99, C&A, Base Sports, Fund Grube, Worten and El Corte Inglés.

Various cafés, bars and restaurants provide a good selection of places to eat.

MONTHLY CAR BOOT AT THE ALL SAINTS ANGLICAN CHURCH

These takes place every 1st Saturday of the month (except July and August).  Open from 10.00 am until 14.00 with an entrance fee of 1 euro per person.  No dogs allowed other than service dogs.

A great mixture of vintage clothes, fruit and vegetables, cakes, home made produce, books as well as light refreshments, burgers and sandwiches also for sale.

This event is run by volunteers so any support from locals or visitors alike is always much appreciated.

HANDICRAFT MARKET AT LA CÚPULA

This complex is located opposite the Botanical Gardens and opens at 9am every day until 9pm.

Shops include a supermarket, bakery, and cafés.   No onsite parking.

On Sundays until 2pm there is a local handicraft market, with local crafters selling their homemade goods.
