Día Internacional de la Música 2026 brings a free evening of live music to Puerto de la Cruz on Friday 2 October. The event runs from 18:00 to 23:00 in the Plaza del Castillo de San Felipe, with Nat Simons, Fajardo and Naife on the main stage, plus DJ Raw and a live edition of the Ambrosía podcast from The Cultural Magazine.
The Canary Islands celebration continues in Arrecife on Saturday 3 October, but the Puerto de la Cruz programme is on Friday 2 October only. Entry to the Puerto de la Cruz event is free.

About Día Internacional de la Música
Día Internacional de la Música is part of a wider Canary Islands music initiative that connects public spaces with live performance and aims to make music accessible to a broad audience. The 2026 edition is promoted by Phe Team and links Puerto de la Cruz with a second event in Arrecife.
For Puerto de la Cruz, the celebration takes the form of an outdoor tardeo beside Castillo de San Felipe. The line-up mixes singer-songwriting, alternative folk, garage rock, DJ selections and a live culture podcast, with the main event running through the early evening to 23:00.

The evening opens with a live season launch of Ambrosía, the arts and culture podcast from The Cultural Magazine. DJ Raw provides music through the openings and transitions, while the main stage features Fajardo, Naife and Nat Simons.
The event area will also include a rest zone, food trucks and drinks stalls.
After party: after the main event, the night continues at Terrace Callao in the Playa Jardín area with DJs Eva Olvido and Bliss. No separate start time for the after party has been confirmed in the information currently published.
Running-order note: the overall event time and line-up are confirmed, but individual set times for Nat Simons, Fajardo and Naife have not yet been published. We will update this page if a more detailed running order is released before Friday.
Artists and Participants
Nat Simons brings the headline international-facing rock and singer-songwriter element to the Puerto de la Cruz line-up.
Fajardo is the stage name of Canarian singer-songwriter José Antonio Fajardo Rodríguez, whose music moves through alternative folk, roots and contemporary Canarian songwriting.
Naife is a Canarian garage-rock band built around raw rock ’n’ roll, punk and blues influences.
DJ Raw provides selections between the live elements of the programme, while The Cultural Magazine opens the evening with a live edition of its Ambrosía arts and culture podcast.
Where Is Día Internacional de la Música in Puerto de la Cruz?
The event takes place outdoors in the Plaza del Castillo de San Felipe, beside one of Puerto de la Cruz’s best-known historic buildings and immediately next to the Playa Jardín area.
Castillo de San Felipe dates from the 17th century and is now one of the municipality’s main cultural spaces. Its coastal setting makes the surrounding plaza a distinctive location for an open-air music event.

No ticket is required: entry to the Puerto de la Cruz event is free.
The main programme is outdoors and runs from 18:00 to 23:00. A rest area, food trucks and drinks stalls are planned within the event area, so visitors can stay around Castillo de San Felipe for the full evening.
The after party moves to Terrace Callao in the nearby Playa Jardín area. If you are only interested in the main concerts, plan around the 18:00–23:00 programme at Castillo de San Felipe.
The published information does not currently give separate set times for each main artist, so arriving earlier in the evening is the safest option if you want to see the complete programme.
Local Tips
Castillo de San Felipe is on the western side of central Puerto de la Cruz beside Playa del Castillo and the wider Playa Jardín area. If you are staying around the Old Town or Playa Jardín, walking to the event is usually the simplest option.
If you are driving, allow extra time. Parking around the Playa Jardín side of town can be limited when there is a popular public event.
The event begins before sunset and continues into the evening, so a light extra layer can be useful by the coast even after a warm day.
